oh, JMG, this one's for you.
The kerning here, frankly, makes one wanna womit. The italic serifs are [agad] completely painful and indiscrete. And dear god, the dotted 'i'. However, I won't lie. I've been exactly here, in these very skinny italicized serifs, in these extremely fat lines ... all for you, old italic font - all for you. It is a lovely piece of history, kind of all over the place. But yet, it's still lovely, and the 'a' is damn near perfect.

all we need...
The tiny serif here, well...it's more than excusable. We like sans serif a lot, but we love this font. We like it, we love it, we want it. more to love here.

Laura's tight font...
Besides being one of the creepier movie posters ever made (it was done in a time before over -designed photoshop "grimy film" filters), the Eyes of Laura Mars sports a pretty rockin' font that we're dying to have. It looks like it could be the still-expensive Avant Garde, but maybe not. Anyway, we dig this font and we dig the movie (it's like Friday the 13th on Madison Avenue with a more f'ed up ending that we're still trying to figure out....but the fashion photography and soundtrack in the film SO makes up for all the improbable plot devices) so buy both.

thank you.
To those of you who may feel some measure of scorn for italics: this little deco-esque book cover treatment from the portfolio of Alex Prochut works it! - it really does. Kari also thinks it should be put to use to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. Happy Monday!

See me....Feel me...touch me....Meeley
We have no idea where to begin with this one.
We're not big on the font but that's like saying one didn't like Inside Angela's Ass IV because of the script.
OK. All-American uncles Milton and Bradley actually came up with a game to play with their kids called Feeley Meeley....Feeley fucking Meeley.... "C'mon gang! Uncle Milton wants to play Feeley Meeley again! Swell!"
This NMBLA-sponsored fun speaks for itself.
$20 says that Feeley Meeley games can now be found in church basements across the midwest.
(We DON'T really want this font, but had to post b-4 someone more clever did!)

ahh, board games...
Fontsteps with Jesus
Oh he walks with me.....he types with me....he tells me that this font is a bunch of holy awesomeness....
Anyway, if JC came back this is the font he would want for his T-shirt, or at least for the cover of the new Judy Blume book he was reading. You can pray here for this font.
Southern fried font
Slow ride...Take it easy...After a weekend of too many Jack and Cokes, we were craving some southern fried fonts. Something that we could use to light up a jay and sit back and slowly get stoned while listening to some Foghat. We found one. Feel free to pass this gem around like a good joint. The pushers of this fine "product" can be found here. There's plenty more where that came from so smoke up and type.

Fonts with puckin' balls
Yeah. I SO dig these examples of fonts you will never find today, paired with athletes you will never find today. These were waaaayyyyyyy b4 our time on this polluted orb and we wish we had some analog examples.
Balls yo!!!
Disclaimer: The cards in this post are not directly responsible for Kari's probable nausea. The feeling comes from the fonts. (Esp. the basketball ones)
